COMEDY icons Morecambe and Wise are to be honoured in their ‘spiritual home’ of Blackpool as the first statue of the pair is unveiled.
The eight-foot tall bronze was commissioned to mark the 75th anniversary of them first appearing on stage together in 1941.

The 26-year-old, who is in a life threatening condition, was driven to hospital by a family member following this morning's shooting.
Cops say they are treating the horrific incident in Salford, Greater Manchester, as an targeted attack.
