FRAUDSTERS are sending BT customers extortionate bill amounts in a new email scam in the hope of panicking them into clicking on a dodgy link.
BT is investigating the new phishing scam in which customers are told BT will "take your payment from your account as usual by Direct Debit".
One social media user shared a screengrab of the bogus bill which said the customer was being charged £996.63.
